Weather change = time for runny nose

It would help if the weather in L.A. (lower Alabama) would decide if it wants to be winter or if it wants to be summer. One day it will be in the 40s and the next day it will be in the mid 70s. Last week DD started to have a runny nose and then that turned into a cough so we started the Triaminic Cough and Cold. Wednesday night though it seemed that it was obvious that the Triaminic wasn't working anymore so when I finally got to go back to bed at 2 am after being up for 30 minutes (on a morning that DH was off and we didn't have to get up at that time of my sleep time) I prayed Dear God just let her sleep the rest of the night without coughing and I will take her to work with me to see the doctor. Yesterday morning we took her to see one of the doctors at work and she said DD had an upper respiratory infection and gave her an antibotic and said to switch to Robitussin DM. DD did so good I was very proud of her. She let Dr Mitchelle listen to her chest, look down her throat and ears. This is only the second time in her life that she has been on antibotics the first time she was 2 and 1/2 years old. Everyone says I am really lucky that she stays well and doesn't have to go to the doctor a lot. Our Christmas party at work is on Saturday night and we are going to eat and then to Bellingrath Gardens to see the lights. So while I was in the room with the doctor I asked is it ok for her to go Saturday and Dr. M. said yeah she should be ok just make sure you layer her clothing. I knew I had to ask that because my Mom would say "You don't need to have her out in that night air".
