Dating...blog challenge

"What are/were your dating requirements? What do/did you expect when looking for a man to date, what is your stereotypical "perfect" man?" And for all of us married ladies, "is your DH what you typically dated or not?"

My DH is not typically what I dated at all. He is a Christian, supportive, helpful, loving, and a romantic. The guys I dated were not anything like my DH. Although my now DH is not my first DH he is more compatiable with me. We clicked right from the start. We met online and I guess would say we dated by phone and computer. Our first phone conversation was 5 hours long. He drove 12 hours to see me and 5 months later we were married. He moved to where I lived. We are best friends and we tell each other everything. He knows when I am feeling down and always knows what to say or do to cheer me up. He has always done what he calls "Honey Day" where out of the blue he picks a day and it is my special day. He either gives me a card, gets me flowers or something I have been wanting. My last Honey Day I got my Sizzix and the playground alphabet. Another thing about my DH that amazed me was that he wanted to go wherever I wanted to go. If I wanted to go to a wedding, funeral, shopping or anywhere and wanted him to go he is always ready and willing (happily) to go. I always had to go by myself before. I guess to some that isn't that big a deal but to me it is, to know that he is interested in what I have going on and wants to be a part of it. He took up photography so our hobbies would even go together.
