Last Saturday morning my brother, Alan, and youngest daughter, Mallory, left at 4 am going with their youth group from their church to TN to a youth conference. Sunday morning Alan called home and asked his wife Gail to add the speaker that they had Saturday night to the prayer list at church. Turns out it was Rick Burgess (Rick & Bubba) two year old son had been outside with the snow they were getting in Birmingham and he fell in the pool and drowned. Rick didn't want the conference to stop because he said that would mean that the devil would of won.
On their website or at youtube.com you can watch the Celebration, yes they wanted it called that and not a funeral, Rick spoke. If you have the time to watch all 3 parts it is awesome the strength that God gave him to do this and what God had to say. It has really been an impact in most everyone I know that has seen it and heard about it. Our church service on Wednesday night was based mostly on what Rick had to say. It makes you have a different outlook on life or at least it does for me...so I hope you have the time to go watch...we serve an AWESOME GOD!!!!!!.....ttfn

I still can't imagine their grief...and they have amazingly turned it into praise to God.
cannot begin to imagine. bless them and what a wonderful testament. I will definitly keep them in our prayers even now. I am sure time heals wounds but when it is your child I just dont know that those really ever heal ya know. Praying God gives them peace and can keep them on the path they are going.
