weekends fly by...

even the 3 day ones. On Friday Morgan had to go back to the eye doctor. He said that her vision is still improving and the crossing is some better. He is going to change the strength of her glasses so on Monday we will get them ordered. When we got back, we went up to my Dad's store. He was officially closing the doors for good. The parts guys are going to come on Monday and get their parts (what they can take back) then the following Monday he will reopen to sell what they couldn't take back. I know he is sad about all this. The store opened in 1958 and this is all he has ever done but I am so glad that now he is going to have some time to enjoy life....to have some time just him. I think he is some relieved also. We (my parents, my brother and his family and us three) all went out to eat for his retirement supper. He has the building for sale and hopefully that will sell soon.

I think we should plan a trip to Birmingham to drop of some kittens at Rhonda's house. Seeing how she can't believe that we would want to get rid of some of them. I had told Morgan we would see if her Daddy would let us keep one of them and keep Sally too. She is wanting the one we keep to come inside..we haven't pushed Jon yet by asking that. I think having Sally and her 4 babies is enough on him right now. Anybody that knows Jon knows that he isn't one to have pets. He says they are fine as long as they belong to someone else.

Meagan has finally set a date for her wedding it is May 17th. I know that seems like it is far away but I know it will be here before we know it. I was informed by Gail (Meagan's mother) that I better remember how to tie bows.

Gail had I don't know if you call it surgery...it was more like laser surgery on one of her legs. She sounds like she is falling apart doesn't she..LOL she would kill me if she knew I said that. You see she will be 40 on the 31st of this month. She informed us that she had never done anything to any of us on our birthdays of course she is older than me so if I don't do anything and then she gets me I guess I would just have to remember that when she turns 50. I guess I won't get her and wait and see what happens to me. Anyway...here lately she has been diagnosed with thyroid problems and checked for other things that turned out ok, she has been struck by lightning and now her legs. I love Gail like she was my sister and not my sister-in-law. They have been married for 22 years but it seems longer than that. I know if I need anything she will be there for me. Her and Morgan are pretty close too.

Jon has another interview this week so we are praying that this might be the one. Although we have had some bad times we both feel that we are truly blessed to have what we have. Guess I better go finish getting us ready for church.....ttfn
