it is so hard to believe that in a couple of days 2008 will be gone. It doesn't seem so long ago that everyone thought everything was going to "blow up" when it became 2000. This has been a good year for us. Morgan started school and Jon got his almost dream job. Alabama Beat Auburn this year...ROLL TIDE!!!! Tony Stewart finished his 10th year wih JGRacing and starting his new team in February. We celebrated 1 year of being on the air with DTV our church television station. Yesterday was our wedding anniversary and in some ways it doesn't seem like it has been as long as it has and in other ways it seems like Jon and I have been together forever. He is my soulmate and I thank God daily for sending him to me and then giving me Morgan.
We had a very nice Christmas. On Christmas eve when I got off from work we all went over to my parents to open gifts. On Christmas Day we all went over to my brothers and ate lunch. Jon was suppose to have to work Christmas Day but things weren't ready so he got to come back home and since he had that day off and the next day he asked if I wanted to go up to his parents. Thirty minutes later we were on the road heading to visit his family. Jon had called his Dad to make sure they were there and that is was ok. His Dad didn't tell his Mom so when we walked in the door at 9 pm she was very shocked to see us. She said at lunch the next day that all of us being there (Jon's sister and her son came over they were down visiting all week and her in-laws live close to Jon's parents) made her Christmas. It was nice to see the smile on her face and knowing that just all of us being there had helped make her Christmas extra nice.
I took this week off so that Morgan could stay home and play with her new stuff and her new kitten. I think that on one day though we are gonna go shopping with Nana and Pawpaw but we probably won't stay gone all day. Our heat pump went out the week before Christmas and the man fixing it just called and said he would be here in the morning to put the new one in. That is what I have always wanted for Christmas....a new heat pump...NOT!!!! I am not real sure how much that is gonna cost. The weather hasn't been that bad thankfully. The air conditioner isn't working at all and we are using auxillary heat.
I have some sore muscles. Last night we were invited over to some friends house to eat and play Wii. I did pretty good bowling and that is so much more fun because the ball isn't so heavy. We played the boxing one also. Jon beat me and then I beat him. The one thing that was so funny is that the couple hadn't played each other boxing in fact she hadn't even played the boxing game yet. Well I talked them into fighting each other and she knocked him out on the first round....it was so funny!!!! We had lots of fun and talked about we needed to start a bowling league. Oh and ofcourse Morgan thinks we need a Wii now. We will have to wait and see about that.
We don't have any plans for New Year's as of now. I am sure Jon will have to work but he is off New Years Day. I didn't make any resolutions they never seem to make it past January but I do want to get in better shape and Dawn and I have said we are going to start back working out at lunch in January. I hope everyone stays safe no matter how they bring in the New Year. Oh wait...I don't know how I forgot to talk about this...I went to Bare Escentuals the store..we stopped there on our way back home and WOW I wish we had one of those close by. I got me one of the kits and a blush brush but you can walk in there and look at every color they have...it is open and ready for you to try it on. ok now I am done for now...God Bless each and everyone of you in the New Year.....ttfn
