I think most of ya'll know that on Friday I had a birthday. I am now starting down the high. It doesn't bother me until I say it...kwim? That plus Morgan had to ask Jon how old he was yesterday then she asked me and ofcourse until May I am what sounds like a year older than daddy. Oh well the alternative is death and I am not ready for that yet so bring on them high numbers. Jon's dad told me he had to tell me Happy Birthday that everybody likes to be told that when they turn 25. I laughed and told him I didn't think I wanted to go back to 25.
On Thursday Mallory (my youngest niece) turned 16 and is driving now. When Alan called me Friday he asked if I felt old then we talked about Mallory driving off I told him atleast I didn't have 2 kids that one drives and one is married already. Morgan does keep me feeling young. It use to bother me that I didn't have a child younger in life but my BFF had her kids around the same time as I did and 2 friends at church that are my age have children Morgan's age. I hope I stay feeling young and don't embarass her when she gets to be Mallory and Meagan's age. I am going to try to not do that for Morgan. We didn't get to go eat for my birthday and since we don't have church tonight we are going after church to Mobile to eat lunch and do some shopping. We are going to go to ToysRus to try and get some ideas on what Morgan wants for her birthday and Christmas. Next weekend is Gina's youngest birthday so we are also getting him something for his party. He told his Mom that he wanted to have Cars theme again because he invited Morgan and he knew that she liked Cars. He just got into Star Wars so I told Gina that Morgan liked Star Wars too and she knows the whole story behind Jon and his love of Star Wars. Noah is going to have a Star Wars party. I thought that was sweet though that he was thinking of Morgan.
My daddy is having an endoscopy on Monday and it is right at the time of school getting out so Gina is picking up Morgan and letting them have some play time.
I really did enjoy my long weekend that I have had. On Friday all the phone calls and cards that I got for my birthday were so nice. Jon's mom and I talked for 30 minutes and it was nice catching up with her and then his dad and I talked for about 20 minutes on Saturday. I wish we all lived closer so that we could spend more time together. It is nice to have in-laws that you want to be around and love them. I also went with my parents and Alan and Gail to their usual Friday lunch. Saturday we helped get ready for my nieces Sweet 16 party. She had a huge party. Alan built a volley ball court in their back yard and they had a bon fire. It was really nice. Morgan and I went to one of her class mates birthday parties. It was lots of fun too.
Well I just noticed the time and we need to be leaving for church...have a great Sunday....ttfn
